ABOUT THE AUTHOR
While on vacation in San Francisco during the spring of 2001, David met with good friend Michael Thomas Tower, a highly talented playwright and advocate of small stage theater. After reading several of Michael’s published works David remembered The Story he’d created and decided to develop it into a larger piece of work, aptly naming it Falling Down, given the recurring importance of the nursery rhyme London Bridge is Falling Down.
Once published Falling Down garnered rave reviews from readers across the country, and was considered one of the top 100 self-published books by the Writer’s Digest Magazine in their 13th Annual Self-Published Book Awards. The book was described by judges as having an “imaginative plot” and “plenty of twists and turns and unexpected happenings.”
Since Falling Down's successful release David has continued working toward his goal of being a best-selling writer. In 2011 a second edition of "Mystery, Malevolence & Murder, Volume 1" - a compilation of thirteen chilling short stories - was published through Another Shore Press, LLC. David has completed his second novel, titled "Lux ex Tenebris" (Light from Darkness) and a novella, "Sammy's Carol," will also be published by Another Shore Press, LLC. during the Spring of 2012. "Balloons" - a short story - was published online by Zombie Coffee Press during the Winter of 2011.
Other projects include a podcast show, which can be downloaded for free on iTunes and Liberated Syndication. David also adapted Falling Down into a screenplay and is currently developing it into a feature-length film.
David is a graduate of State University of New York - Empire State College and has recently completed an MFA in Creative Writing at The City College of New York.
